Security Officer – Flexible Shifts

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer to work flexible shifts across a variety of client sites, including medical manufacturing campuses. This position offers a $17.25 per hour wage and the freedom to pick up shifts that match your availability through an exclusive platform.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Monitor entrances and exits, permitting authorized persons and deterring unauthorized access.
• Observe for irregular conditions, safety hazards, or suspicious activity.
• Sound alarms and contact police or fire services when necessary.
• Issue warnings for rule violations such as loitering, smoking, or prohibited items.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Investigate incidents, prepare written reports, and maintain required logs.
• Provide emergency notifications in accordance with site post orders.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if armed, depending on state).
• Valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle.
• Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Reliability and adaptability to irregular shift schedules with little notice.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s license (when required for vehicle operation).
• Ability to write clear incident and accident reports.
