Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee all core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial recording, compliance, and timely reporting. This role supports operational efficiency and provides critical financial data for management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve financial transactions, ensuring complete documentation and data accuracy.
• Process receipts, payments, journal vouchers, and issue cheques in the accounting system.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, including collections, reconciliations, and supplier payments.
• Handle payroll preparation, tax deductions, social security procedures, and salary transfers.
• Prepare and file VAT returns and coordinate with tax consultants for compliance.
• Oversee inventory accounting, record related journal entries, and investigate variances.
• Develop cost accounting systems, calculate production costs, and analyze unit costs.
• Coordinate audit activities and ensure adherence to non‑profit financial policies where applicable.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle accounting, payroll, and tax administration.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Ability to manage multiple financial functions simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
