Senior Accounting Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Accounting Specialist with deep expertise in SAP Business One to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, manage month‑end and year‑end closings, and partner with IT to optimise system architecture across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting activities, ensuring accurate posting and classification in SAP Business One and preparation of IFRS‑compliant financial statements.
• Own month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, provisions and comprehensive reporting.
• Manage high‑volume transactions across several business lines and legal entities while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Oversee bank, customer, supplier, general‑ledger and inter‑company reconciliations and review SAP master data and journal entries for data integrity.
• Define finance requirements for SAP Business One integrations, validate API transaction flows and collaborate with IT and external partners.
• Identify and resolve system reconciliation gaps, drive process automation and provide insightful financial analysis for management.
• Support internal and external audits by supplying schedules and documentation and continuously improve accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a strong plus.
• Proven hands‑on experience with SAP Business One.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting regulations.
• Experience handling multi‑entity, high‑volume transactional environments.
• Demonstrated experience with system integrations, API validation and accounting automation.
• High analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
