Senior AI Architect

About the role

The Senior AI Architect will lead the technical direction of Arab Bank's AI initiatives, shaping solutions that are secure, compliant, and production‑ready while advising Business, IT, Risk, and Compliance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review business requirements, assess feasibility, risk and value, and recommend the most suitable AI approach.
• Design end‑to‑end AI solutions including LLM applications, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, AI agents, document intelligence and predictive models.
• Define reference architectures, standards and reusable components for the bank’s AI platform.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations, data protection laws and internal AI governance frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership from proof‑of‑concept to production, establishing MLOps/LLMOps pipelines and overseeing vendor evaluations.
• Contribute to the AI strategy, monitor emerging technologies and mentor team members.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software or solution architecture experience, with at least 4 years delivering AI/ML solutions in production.
• Strong advisory mindset, excellent communication with technical and executive audiences, and high risk awareness.
• Experience in regulated industries, preferably banking or financial services.

Required skills

• Generative AI technologies: LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, vector databases, AI agents, evaluation frameworks.
• Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.
• Major cloud AI platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and on‑premises/open‑source models.
• Enterprise architecture, APIs, microservices, Kubernetes and security architecture.
• Model risk management, AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001).
