Senior Audit & Assurance – External Audit (JRC) – UAE

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior professional to join its Audit & Assurance team in the United Arab Emirates, focusing on external audit engagements for the Jordanian Resources Center (JRC). The role involves delivering high‑quality audit services, building trust with stakeholders, and collaborating with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain credibility with clients by understanding their service expectations.
• Deliver audit services that reflect regulatory and risk‑management considerations.
• Prepare and adapt referral instructions to define audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise effectively with on‑shore and off‑shore teams, ensuring accurate information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and integrate risks, controls, and findings across the audit file.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and ensure they are met throughout the engagement.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in external audit and assurance.
• Strong understanding of regulatory impact, risk management, and business processes.
• Ability to interpret key industry statistics and entity‑specific information before engagements.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with diverse audit teams.
• Proactive approach to identifying audit timing efficiencies and challenging audit plans when appropriate.
