Senior BI Analyst

About the role

Equiti is looking for a detail‑oriented Senior BI Analyst to join its Data department in Amman. You will be responsible for building and maintaining high‑quality Power BI solutions that support the company’s multi‑asset fintech products and enable self‑service analytics across global offices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards and supporting datasets on certified gold semantic models.
• Migrate legacy reports to the gold model, automate recurring manual reporting and retire duplicated reports.
• Enhance, maintain and adapt data models to evolving business requirements while adhering to Group modelling and DAX standards.
• Build capabilities for business self‑service reporting, analytics and dashboarding.
• Validate outputs rigorously against certified definitions and troubleshoot existing reports.
• Apply AI‑assisted development tools (LLM‑assisted DAX, M, SQL, Copilot in Power BI) and own data‑quality checks.
• Optimize performance of models and reports using query folding, incremental refresh and aggregations.
• Provide technical consultation to business partners across time zones and document solutions.
• Contribute to BI team best practices, reusable patterns and onboarding processes.

Required profile

• 4+ years of commercial experience in BI development or analytics.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data accuracy and validation.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Self‑starter able to deliver high‑quality work at scale.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, including DAX for data shaping and modelling.
• Strong Power Query / M expertise.
• Solid SQL knowledge.
• Experience using AI‑assisted coding tools for BI development.
