Senior Child Protection Case Management Specialist (OPt)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a senior professional to lead child protection case management within its oPt Country Program in Jordan. This role will guide the design, implementation, and monitoring of protection interventions for children affected by conflict and displacement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and strengthen case management systems for vulnerable children across the West Bank and Gaza.
• Coordinate with local partners, health, nutrition, WASH, and education teams to ensure integrated protection services.
• Develop and implement protection strategies, standards, and protocols aligned with IRC and humanitarian guidelines.
• Lead a team of case managers, providing mentorship, supervision, and capacity‑building activities.
• Produce high‑quality reports, data analyses, and recommendations for donors and senior management.
• Represent IRC in coordination forums and advocate for child protection priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in child protection, preferably in humanitarian settings.
• Demonstrated senior‑level leadership and management of case management programs.
• Strong knowledge of the oPt context and protection risks affecting children.
• Advanced degree in social work, psychology, international development, or a related field.
