Senior Data Platform Engineer

About the role

CRDF Global is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own and evolve its enterprise data platform built on Microsoft Fabric. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end architecture, pipelines, and models that power reporting across finance, contracts, programs, and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the Fabric lakehouse architecture, including bronze, silver, and gold layers, workspace layout, and security model.
• Define technical standards, source‑control strategy, and deployment pipelines for repeatable, reviewable changes.
• Monitor capacity, performance, cost, and reliability; set up alerts for pipeline failures and data freshness.
• Build and operate ingestion pipelines from systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Fluxx, Concur, and Formstack.
• Implement incremental loads, change tracking, and automated data quality checks.
• Develop gold‑layer models, conformed dimensions, and Power BI semantic models for enterprise reporting.
• Collaborate with finance, contracts, program, and operations teams to define requirements and shared data definitions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in data engineering or enterprise data integration.
• Hands‑on experience building and operating cloud data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Snowflake).
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python/PySpark for data transformation.
• Proven ability to design lakehouse or dimensional models, including medallion architecture and slowly changing dimensions.
