Senior Environment Consultant – ESDD Advisory

About the role

WSP is seeking an experienced Environment Consultant or Senior Consultant to deliver and lead Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) and Impact Assessment services across the Middle East, based in Jordan.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver ESDD projects, lender technical advisory, and operator engineering for environmental matters.
• Conduct ESIA compliance reviews and assess E&S risks in corporate M&A against lender standards.
• Project‑manage and author large‑scale studies such as EIA, SEA, CEMP, emergency response strategies, and pollution prevention frameworks.
• Collaborate with design and planning teams to integrate environmental considerations.
• Prepare and review specialist chapters, ensure compliance with consenting and licensing requirements.
• Manage project financial performance, profit targets, and multi‑disciplinary tenders.

Required profile

• BSc and MSc in an environmental or engineering discipline.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IEMA) – chartered status preferred.
• Proven ability to work across multiple disciplines with a flexible mindset.
• Strong report writing, editing, and collation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
• Experience handling several projects simultaneously with robust project, time, and financial management.
