Senior Interior Designer

About the role

Dar, a global multidisciplinary consulting organization, is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to lead and coordinate interior design projects from concept through detailed documentation. The role involves ensuring design integrity, technical quality, compliance with project requirements, and delivering client satisfaction across a range of international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact between clients and the interior design team.
• Lead the development and refinement of design concepts, spatial layouts, material palettes, finishes, and other interior elements.
• Develop and oversee detailed drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
• Coordinate interior design requirements with architectural, structural, MEP, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, project requirements, and relevant standards.
• Maintain accurate records of design decisions, project progress, and client communications.
• Participate in client meetings and present design concepts and solutions effectively.
• Review project deliverables to maintain design intent and technical quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise and mentor junior designers, delegating tasks and providing technical guidance.
• Support projects through all design stages, from concept to implementation.

Required profile

• B.Sc. degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in interior design or interior architecture.
• Strong experience in design development and preparation of detailed drawings and specifications.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams.
• Capability to work independently while collaborating effectively within project teams.
• Strong design, technical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
