Senior Litigation Associate

About the role

Kayan Law is looking for a Senior Litigation Associate to lead complex civil and commercial disputes in Amman. The successful candidate will manage cases from intake through judgment, providing strategic advice and courtroom advocacy while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Take primary responsibility for complex litigation matters, including case strategy, drafting pleadings and motions, and court representation.
• Lead witness preparation, examination, and cross‑examination, and oversee evidence review.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and trainees, reviewing their work and ensuring quality.
• Maintain regular client contact, delivering commercial and practical advice throughout each case.
• Contribute to business development and the growth of the litigation practice.

Required profile

• LLB from an accredited institution and current admission to the Jordan Bar Association.
• 7–10 years of post‑qualification experience in civil and commercial litigation.
• Proven ability to manage complex files independently from intake to judgment.
• Strong analytical abilities, high ethical standards, and sound commercial judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Arabic; English proficiency is an asset.

• Extensive experience in witness examination and evidence management.
• Proficiency in legal research using relevant databases and resources.
• Effective supervision and mentorship of junior lawyers.
