Senior Network Lifecycle Engineer (Routing, Switching, NAT, QoS)

About the role

You will manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of WAN, routing, switching, SD‑WAN, network security and shared infrastructure services across airports and gateways, supporting pilot and customer migrations to the SITA Connect Versa platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision, monitor and de‑commission wired and wireless LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN and network security services across airports and gateways.
• Lead pilot and customer migrations to the SITA Connect Versa platform, coordinating with design and engineering teams.
• Oversee WAN and service‑provider network provisioning to meet quality and operational standards.
• Monitor service performance, analyse trends and implement improvements.
• Plan and execute service changes while minimising disruption to live operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer networks, security configurations and processes.
• Provide expert troubleshooting for routing, switching, NAT, QoS, IPsec and SD‑WAN issues.
• Evaluate and adopt new automation and resilience technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience managing the full lifecycle of network services.
• Hands‑on WAN implementation, migration and validation experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, static routing, NAT, QoS, IPsec).
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper routers/switches and Cisco ASA or Palo Alto firewalls.
• Knowledge of Layer 2 high‑availability technologies (VTP, STP, RSTP, PVST, HSRP).
• Familiarity with data‑center switching (Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI) and network service models.
• Associate‑level security certification (mandatory).
