Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT and business projects, ensuring they align with organisational goals and governance standards. This role mentors junior managers and drives successful outcomes across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle for large‑scale or multiple concurrent IT projects.
• Define scope, goals, deliverables and resource plans in line with strategy.
• Manage budgets, timelines, risks and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate clear communication among stakeholders, vendors and technical teams.
• Enforce project governance, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and documentation.
• Mentor junior Project Managers and act as escalation point.
• Oversee change management, risk assessments and impact analysis.
• Ensure compliance with organisational standards, SLAs and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct project reviews and lessons‑learned sessions.
• Contribute to portfolio and program‑level reporting for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, IT or related field (Master’s a plus).
• 5‑7 years of project management experience, with at least 2 years leading large or complex IT projects.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Relevant certifications preferred: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI‑ACP, ITIL 4 Foundation or higher.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira or Asana.
• Deep knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud platforms and digital transformation initiatives.
• Certification‑based expertise: PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, PMI‑ACP, ITIL 4.
