Senior Server & Storage / HPC System Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Server and Storage / HPC System Engineer to design, implement and optimise high‑performance computing (HPC) infrastructure for our Abu Dhabi site. The role focuses on Dell servers, AMD GPUs, Pure Storage solutions, Commvault backup and Kubernetes environments.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy Dell PowerEdge servers for HPC workloads, managing the full hardware lifecycle.
• Deploy, tune and monitor AMD MI210 GPU servers to accelerate AI/ML and data‑intensive applications.
• Design, configure and maintain Pure Storage FlashBlade systems, including multitenancy and performance optimisation.
• Implement and manage enterprise‑wide Commvault backup policies for data integrity and disaster recovery.
• Build and operate Kubernetes clusters for containerised HPC workloads, integrating persistent storage and GPU resources.
• Develop advanced monitoring and capacity‑planning processes for servers, GPUs, storage and clusters.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with data‑science and DevOps teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and managing large‑scale HPC or data‑center environments.
• Strong background with Dell PowerEdge hardware and AMD GPU technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Pure Storage (FlashBlade) and Commvault backup solutions.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes for HPC and container orchestration.
• Ability to lead performance optimisation, monitoring and capacity‑planning initiatives.
