Senior Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring a Senior Supply Chain Officer in Amman to support and implement procurement planning, sourcing, tendering, contract administration and supplier performance monitoring within the Shared Service Unit / Regional Office. The role ensures procurement is efficient, transparent and compliant with IRC policies, Global Supply Chain standards, donor regulations and organizational requirements, and works closely with country offices, regional teams, program departments and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement plans, Master Purchase Agreements and Master Service Agreements, supplier performance reviews and market research, and flag cost savings and supply risks.
• Run procurement processes such as RFQs, RFPs and tenders, prepare tender documents, run bid evaluations and support supplier negotiations.
• Process approved purchase requisitions through systems such as BVA or Integra, maintain the Procurement Request Tracking System and keep procurement records and supplier files accurate.
• Manage contracts: prepare agreements, track expiry dates, monitor performance and flag underutilized or high-risk agreements.
• Maintain supplier files, performance scorecards and documented corrective actions, and carry out supplier due diligence including ATC checks.
• Ensure compliance with IRC policies, donor regulations and ethical requirements, keep records audit-ready and follow up on audit corrective action plans.
• Prepare monthly procurement performance reports and track indicators such as lead times, contract utilization and supplier performance.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain operations, including procurement planning, sourcing, tendering and contract administration.
