Senior Wayfinding Designer

About the role

WSP in the Middle East is looking for a Senior Wayfinding Designer to join its growing team in Jordan and support a portfolio of projects across the region. The role provides design leadership and project expertise on wayfinding, signage and placemaking projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to create practical solutions that improve user experience, navigation and sense of place.

Key responsibilities

• Lead wayfinding projects from concept and design development through to implementation.
• Develop creative solutions for wayfinding, signage and placemaking aligned with client and project needs.
• Create design narratives, strategies and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, urban designers and others on integrated solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior team members.
• Produce conceptual designs, sketches, illustrations and detailed design information.
• Manage project schedules, resources and deliverables for quality and timely delivery.
• Stay up to date with trends, technologies, materials and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Graphic Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in wayfinding, signage and/or environmental graphic design.
• Experience across sectors such as masterplanning, hospitality, residential, mixed-use, retail, commercial, entertainment, healthcare and education.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex wayfinding projects from concept to completion.
• A strong portfolio showing relevant wayfinding and signage work.
• Knowledge of Middle East regulations, codes and standards; good understanding of materials, fabrication and detailed design drawings.
• Willingness to travel internationally where required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, AI tools, 3ds Max and SketchUp.
• Strong conceptual and creative skills, presentation and visual communication skills.
• Good communication, stakeholder management and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
