Senior Wayfinding & Signage Designer

About the role

Dar, a global multidisciplinary consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Wayfinding & Signage Designer to lead the creation of integrated wayfinding systems across diverse projects. You will translate architectural and urban concepts into clear, user‑focused signage solutions that reinforce project identity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and coordination of wayfinding and signage packages for projects of varying scales and sectors.
• Interpret architectural and urban design concepts into cohesive wayfinding strategies that enhance user experience.
• Develop signage concepts, design families, material palettes, and environmental graphic solutions aligned with each project’s vision.
• Produce comprehensive deliverables such as Signage Design Guidelines, Standard Manuals, Message Schedules, Location Plans, and detailed design packages.
• Collaborate closely with architecture, interior design, landscape, MEP, BIM, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Participate in design workshops, client meetings, and technical reviews throughout all project stages.
• Review fabrication drawings, prototypes, and material samples to ensure design quality and compliance.
• Monitor design progress, deliverables, and resource allocation to support project planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, graphic design, environmental design, interior design, urban design, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of professional experience in wayfinding, signage, or environmental graphic design.
• Proven ability to deliver multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction documentation.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, technical detailing, and successful implementation of signage systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of user‑centered wayfinding principles and environmental graphic design.
• Knowledge of signage materials, manufacturing techniques, installation methods, and quality control.
• Familiarity with accessibility requirements and international wayfinding standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, AI‑assisted design and visualization tools, and Revit.
