Site Engineer

About the role

Join Haskoning as a Site Engineer in Jordan, supporting the Resident Engineer and Construction Manager on multiple projects for the Arab Potash Corporation. You will act as the consultant’s on‑site representative, ensuring construction complies with drawings, specifications, contractual and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities, inspecting civil, structural and architectural works for compliance with issued‑for‑construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Review inspection requests, shop drawings, material submittals and method statements, recommending approval where appropriate.
• Monitor workmanship quality, witness testing, verify inspection and test plans, and manage non‑conforming works and corrective actions.
• Track contractor progress against schedules, identify potential delays, maintain accurate site records, photographs and supervision reports.
• Coordinate with design disciplines, stakeholders, utility authorities and contractors to ensure consistent project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• At least ten years of professional experience, with a minimum of five years in industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction supervision, QA/QC procedures, quality management systems, engineering drawings, progress monitoring and basic FIDIC contract administration.
• Experience in EPC or engineering consultancy environments is an advantage.
• Professional proficiency in English and ability to work in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.
