Software Quality Control Team Lead (Remote)

About the role

The Software QC Team Lead will drive both manual and automated testing across the full software development life‑cycle. Working remotely, you will lead a team of QA engineers, design automation frameworks and ensure high‑quality, stable releases for our educational technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a mixed team of manual and automation testers, fostering an automation‑first culture.
• Define and execute an automation strategy for regression, smoke, integration, API and performance testing.
• Oversee creation, maintenance and execution of automated test suites, ensuring stability, modularity and scalability.
• Design and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Postman/Newman, REST Assured, SuperTest, K6 and JMeter.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and manage version control with Git.
• Track and report quality metrics, including automation coverage, stability rate and defect detection.
• Collaborate closely with developers to embed testing early in the development process.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience building and scaling automation frameworks.
• Strong background in both UI and API testing, including performance testing.
• Experience leading QA/QC teams and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to design test strategies that align with CI/CD workflows.
