Solutions Engineer

About the role

A reputable financial‑technology company is looking for a Solutions Engineer to act as the functional backbone of client implementations. The role sits between business analysis and functional engineering, translating client needs into platform configurations and ensuring successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to gather, structure and validate business and functional requirements.
• Map client requirements to platform capabilities, identifying native support, required configuration, and genuine gaps.
• Draft, own and obtain sign‑off for Business Solution Documents (BSD) covering configurations, workflows and integrations.
• Configure the platform for each client, translate approved BSDs into live system setups, and conduct hygiene testing.
• Support SIT, UAT and client demos, triage defects and ensure functional requirements are met before go‑live.
• Identify and document gaps, coordinate with Product and Engineering teams to resolve them, and track progress.
• Set clear expectations with clients on what the system can deliver out‑of‑the‑box, what requires configuration, and what is out of scope.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into functional designs.
• Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholder expectations and act as a bridge between clients and engineering.
• Experience in functional configuration of fintech platforms (payments, collections, disbursements, cards, lending, wallets, open banking) is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously.
