Sound Technician

About the role

The school is looking for a full‑time Sound Technician to support events, performances and daily activities on its Amman campus. You will be responsible for delivering clear, high‑quality audio across a variety of venues while working closely with teachers, students and administrative staff.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain sound equipment, including a 32‑channel Midas digital mixer, for assemblies, concerts and other school events.
• Manage microphones and audio inputs, balance live sound levels and ensure optimal audio quality.
• Coordinate with event organizers and performing‑arts staff to meet technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot audio issues, perform routine equipment checks and support basic lighting adjustments when needed.
• Maintain an organized inventory of audio‑visual gear and ensure safety standards are met.

Required profile

• Proven experience with live‑sound mixing and signal flow, preferably using a Midas digital console.
• Practical knowledge of microphone selection, placement, configuration and maintenance.
• Basic ability to set up simple lighting rigs for school events.
• Understanding of music integration with sound systems for performances.
• Ability to work on‑site, manage multiple events and collaborate with diverse student and staff groups.
• Diploma or certification in audio engineering or a related field is preferred.
