Specialist Endocrinology Physician – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Specialist Endocrinology Physician will work alongside a Consultant Physician to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care to patients with complex endocrine disorders. Based in Abu Dhabi, the role involves comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, take histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and perform necessary procedures or surgeries related to endocrinology.
• Consult and coordinate with other specialists, departments, and support services to ensure integrated patient care.
• Document clinical information accurately and timely in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities.
• Provide supervision, instruction, and mentorship to junior medical staff, residents, and students.
• Communicate clinical information compassionately to patients and families, obtaining informed consent as required.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
• Completed residency or fellowship in Endocrinology.
• 2‑3 years of post‑specialization clinical experience.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility letter, and current license from the last practicing country.
• Certificate of Good Standing from the relevant licensing authority.
• Successful completion of the DOH licensing exam.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; additional languages are an asset.
