Staff Accountant (Mid-Level)

About the role

BusinessChat is seeking a mid‑level Staff Accountant to support financial record‑keeping, analysis and reporting. The role will involve managing daily transactions, supporting month‑end close and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record and manage daily accounting transactions and journal entries
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Perform bank, credit card, and payment gateway reconciliations
• Support monthly closing and financial reporting
• Follow‑up company expenses, accruals, and prepayments
• Maintain accurate supporting documents and accounting records
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and management reports
• Support auditors, tax consultants, and other finance‑related requirements
• Assist with subscription billing, deferred revenue, and recurring revenue reporting when applicable

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience in service‑based or SaaS/technology companies is a plus
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Very good command of English
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
