Storekeeper

About the role

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, staging, and organizing merchandise and supplies for the hotel. This role ensures that all items are stored correctly, inventory levels are maintained, and food safety standards are upheld.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items for proper placement.
• Stack received goods on pallets or carts and deliver them to the appropriate department.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low inventory.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, and quality; reject damaged or incorrect items.
• Store perishables properly, rotate stock, and maintain food safety procedures.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
• Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance, and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to work in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and on uneven surfaces.
