Superintendent – Planning & Reliability (Aqaba Terminal)

About the role

The Superintendent – Planning & Reliability leads and coordinates planning, operational reliability and performance improvement activities across the Aqaba Terminal. The role ensures that resources, equipment, manpower and workflows are effectively planned to achieve safe, efficient and reliable terminal operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage short‑, medium‑ and long‑term operational planning aligned with terminal business objectives.
• Coordinate daily and weekly plans covering vessel, yard, gate operations, equipment availability and manpower.
• Monitor productivity, equipment utilization, downtime and reliability indicators and report trends.
• Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints, then design and implement improvement plans.
• Work with Engineering & Maintenance to ensure equipment availability supports operational needs.
• Support root‑cause analysis of disruptions and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards for management review.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve planning processes, data quality and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in container terminal, port operations or similar asset‑intensive environments.
• Proven experience in planning, reliability or performance management, preferably with terminal operating systems.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills; fluent English, Arabic a plus.
