Syndication and Specialized Lending Relationship Manager

About the role

The role focuses on originating, underwriting and managing syndicated, acquisition, structured and project finance transactions. The Relationship Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders and external investors to ensure successful deal execution and portfolio performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare transaction screening papers, credit appraisal reports and internal recommendations for syndicated, acquisition, structured and project finance deals.
• Support primary and secondary loan market activities, including distribution strategy, pricing analysis and investor targeting.
• Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, build financial models, perform sensitivity and scenario testing, and forecast cash flows.
• Review transaction structures, security packages, covenants and repayment profiles, and comment on financing documentation such as term sheets and LMA‑based agreements.
• Coordinate internal approvals across Credit, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, ESG, Finance and senior management, and monitor execution milestones from origination to post‑closing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration; professional qualifications (CFA, CPA) are a plus.
• Minimum five years of experience in syndicated finance, structured finance, project finance or corporate banking, with proven origination and underwriting expertise.
• Strong knowledge of primary and secondary syndicated loan markets and LMA documentation.
• Experience with DFIs, ECAs or export‑finance institutions is highly desirable.

• Financial modelling and credit analysis.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools and financial databases.
• Understanding of credit risk, covenant analysis and ESG‑linked financing principles.
