Systems Administrator II – Windows/Active Directory

About the role

The Systems Administrator II will manage and support Windows server environments, ensuring reliable operation of core services such as Active Directory, Exchange, and system monitoring tools. The role involves troubleshooting, hardware maintenance, and providing technical mentorship to internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP, and print services.
• Manage Exchange servers (2008 or higher) and Outlook Web Access.
• Oversee Microsoft SMS, MOM/SCOM, SCCM, and WSUS.
• Perform backups and restores using VERITAS Backup Exec.
• Maintain hardware platforms (Dell, HP), LTO tape libraries, fiber switches, and SANs.
• Enforce antivirus and security standards per US Army regulations.
• Provide user and Exchange account support, schedule shifts, and handle employee appraisals and training records.

Required profile

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; one year of related experience may substitute for one year of education.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• Ability to coordinate system backups, hardware/software installations, and upgrades.
