Technical Team Leader – Software Development

About the role

The Technical Team Leader (TTL) drives a software development team through full project lifecycles, ensuring high‑quality delivery that aligns with product and business goals. The TTL balances technical oversight, code quality, and process compliance while acting as the bridge between developers and management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team through design, development, testing and release phases, participating in architectural decisions and technology selection.
• Review and approve code, enforce feature/branch freezes, and ensure testing deadlines are met.
• Track KPIs such as code quality, test coverage, bug ratios, and hot‑fix rework rates.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, UI/UX, QA and service teams to keep user stories clear and risks visible.
• Mentor developers, conduct performance appraisals, delegate tasks, and maintain an 85%+ on‑time delivery rate.
• Follow internal staging, release and security policies, and contribute to the knowledge base.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of software development experience, including 1–2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to guide technical teams, manage stakeholder expectations and deliver projects on schedule.

Required skills

• Microsoft .NET Framework (C# or VB.NET)
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, jQuery, XML, Web Services, Web APIs
• Strong understanding of OOP, SDLC and architectural patterns
• Advanced database expertise with MS SQL Server or Oracle, including ER diagrams and stored procedures
