Trivia Content Specialist (Arabic)

About the role

Shannes is a real-time multiplayer trivia platform with curated question packs on Arab culture, history, entertainment and general knowledge, plus tournament tools for universities, brands and event organizers. It has an Arabic-first user experience and is expanding across Jordan and the wider Arab market. The Trivia Content Specialist (Arabic) is a part-time, freelance, remote role focused on creating engaging, accurate and culturally relevant trivia questions in Arabic.

Key responsibilities

• Research topics across Arab culture, history, entertainment and general knowledge
• Write clear, fair and engaging questions
• Organize question packs for different game modes and tournaments
• Manage content through the platform's admin dashboard
• Review and refine existing question banks for linguistic and factual accuracy
• Balance question difficulty across audience segments and improve content based on player feedback
• Test and validate questions before publication

Required profile

• Native Arabic with excellent Modern Standard Arabic and familiarity with regional expressions
• Strong interest in Arab culture, history, entertainment, gaming and trivia
• Previous experience in content writing, quiz/trivia creation, educational content or game content is a plus
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and collaborate remotely
• A plus: friends, family or colleagues available to test questions

Required skills

• Excellent Arabic writing and proofreading, with strong research and fact-checking skills
• Experience with dashboards, CMS platforms or admin panels
• Preferred: using AI tools such as ChatGPT for research and content creation
