Valuations and Modeling Executive

About the role

EY's Valuation and Modelling and Economics practice advises clients on strategic planning, transaction and non-transaction decisions, including value creation, financial reporting and market valuations. As a VME Professional in the Amman team, you will work on commercial issues with management on acquisitions, transformations and restructuring, helping clients identify and quantify sources of value.

Key responsibilities

• Work with management on parts of the acquisition process or transformation plans and regularly undertake valuations for strategic priorities
• Advise businesses on valuation issues for acquisitions, divestitures or restructuring, and provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings
• Help clients identify sources of value creation and quantify them
• Assist clients in solving their issues and unlocking value growth
• Support acquisition processes by assessing how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets affects accounting requirements and providing fair value opinions for financial reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in finance, economics, accounting or business
• At least 3 years of related business modelling work experience
• Solution-driven, able to solve complex problems and complete challenging projects
• Autonomous, with experience handling client relationships and reporting proactively to Directors/Partners
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and logical, adaptable to changing requirements and deadlines

Required skills

• Financial modelling, including building models from scratch
• Broad understanding of IFRS standards on fair value measurements, business combinations and impairment testing
• Ideal: valuation experience in professional services or Big 4 firms, coaching experience, expertise in real estate financial modelling, CFA or equivalent (RICS, CBV), knowledge of GCC market dynamics
