Vice President, Financial Operations

About the role

The Vice President of Financial Operations will lead the Payment Operations function for a global CFD brokerage and cryptocurrency exchange. Reporting to the Head of Treasury & Accounting and the CFO, the role ensures seamless transaction processing, high payment success rates, and robust infrastructure across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and monitor KPIs to guarantee timely, accurate payment processing and 99.9% PSP uptime.
• Improve payment success rates, reduce churn, and lower settlement costs through strategic initiatives and routing optimization.
• Oversee reporting of payment expenses, PSP fees, and settlement costs.
• Manage PSP relationships, maintenance windows, and service changes to minimize customer impact.
• Drive automation of payment processes and achieve quarterly automation targets.
• Mentor and manage a globally distributed Financial Operations team, ensuring consistent performance and accountability.
• Communicate performance, risks, and incidents to senior management.
• Handle chargeback and dispute processing within SLA limits.
• Coordinate with development and technology teams to enhance the customer payment experience.
• Supervise technical integrations with Payment Service Providers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in high‑risk payment operations, including local bank transfers, IBANs, card processing, cryptocurrency payments, and alternative payment methods.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to resolve complex payment issues independently.
• Proven leadership skills managing globally distributed teams.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for reporting to senior executives.
