X-ray Technician

About the role

The Radiology Technician performs diagnostic X‑ray and fluoroscopy procedures on fixed or mobile imaging systems, ensuring high‑quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic X‑ray, fluoroscopy and operating‑room C‑ARM procedures according to departmental standards.
• Maintain patient privacy, ensure correct patient‑procedure matching, and accurately enter data into RIS and PACS.
• Apply radiation‑protection measures such as collimation and lead shielding to minimise exposure.
• Prepare patients by positioning, adjusting immobilisation devices and equipment settings.
• Adhere to infection‑control policies, manage contrast‑media reactions and provide first aid when needed.
• Provide on‑call, holiday, overtime and shift coverage to ensure continuous department operation.
• Conduct quality‑control tasks, screen patients for contraindications and contribute to KPI assessment and accreditation activities.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience as a radiology technician.
• Diploma preferred; B.Sc. degree in Radiologic Technology is advantageous.
• At least two years of licensed clinical experience in a recognized hospital.
• Proficient in English, both oral and written.
