Account Handler

About the role

As an Account Handler at Lockton, you will be the primary point of contact for General and Motor insurance clients, ensuring their day‑to‑day queries, endorsements and policy changes are handled efficiently. You will work closely with insurers, finance teams and clients to deliver seamless service and maintain strong relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients throughout the issuance and endorsement processes.
• Review insurance agreements and policy documents, explaining benefits and communication strategies.
• Coordinate with insurers to fulfil client requests and obtain quotations.
• Visit clients and insurance companies regularly, either independently or with team members.
• Verify client documents and maintain accurate endorsement trackers, filing, and invoicing.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to process invoices and payments.
• Conduct technical and financial comparisons of General insurance quotations.
• Prepare reports and presentations for clients and track renewals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Actuarial Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in General/Motor insurance within an insurance company or brokerage.
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer‑service orientation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships and handle escalations.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with insurer portals (a plus).
• Invoice reconciliation.
