Accountant & Cost Controller

About the role

Macera Restaurant & Bar is looking for an experienced Accountant & Cost Controller to oversee daily accounting operations, purchasing, inventory, and cost control within a busy hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and verify daily purchases, supplier invoices, payments and expenses.
• Manage food, beverage and alcohol purchasing, monitor supplier pricing and perform invoice reconciliation.
• Conduct bank, POS, cash and accounting system reconciliations and regular financial audits.
• Monitor food and beverage costs, wastage, inventory variances and conduct physical inventory counts.
• Prepare payroll, handle tax compliance and oversee daily cash handling and sales closing procedures.
• Produce financial and cost‑control reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in hospitality, restaurants or bars.
• Proven experience in alcoholic beverage purchasing, inventory and cost control.
• Knowledge of Jordanian tax regulations, payroll and Social Security.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience using POS systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
