Accountant, General Ledger

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will support daily accounting operations by recording recoveries, processing journal entries, and performing reconciliations. This role ensures accurate and up‑to‑date financial records across multiple departments within Alfanar.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record recoveries for recruitment expenses, IT costs, RFCs, accrued bonuses, treasury recoveries, restaurant expenses, and depreciation charges.
• Prepare and enter records for dependent fees, Iqama fees, and various settlement entries (exit, re‑entry, sponsorship, profession change, etc.).
• Post journal entries from divisions and handle internal division entries.
• Assist with visa‑related entries and perform visa reconciliations.
• Execute daily transaction checks, daily and monthly bank reconciliations, and bank deposit confirmations.
• Coordinate with other divisions for account matching and support profit recovery processes.
• Provide periodic reports on task execution, deviations, and improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Ability to acquire updated technical skills and follow delivery schedules.
• Strong problem‑solving, quality‑control, and compliance orientation.
• Willingness to contribute to business process improvements and automation opportunities.
