Accountant – Grocery Store Finance

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to support the launch and growth of our innovative grocery‑store concept, “tmart”. The role focuses on managing supplier finances, inventory valuation and cost accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, reconcile supplier statements and handle discrepancies, including rebates and credit notes.
• Create and maintain supplier accounts, perform product costing and process payment requests.
• Investigate and resolve claims with local suppliers.
• Conduct regular inventory counts, warehouse and store valuations, and calculate inventory ageing.
• Prepare inventory performance reports and journal vouchers for prepaid items, accruals and OPEX.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong attention to detail, structured work style and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proactive problem‑solver with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Comfortable interacting with senior executives and managing multiple stakeholder expectations.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
