Acquiring Tech Lead

About the role

The Acquiring Tech Lead will head the Center of Engineering (CoE), building and supporting a high‑performing engineering hub. You will oversee the engineering team, ensure technical objectives are met, drive talent growth, and maintain top‑quality standards for all products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the engineering team, providing leadership, guidance and support to achieve goals.
• Develop and implement staffing strategies, creating a CoE structure with the right mix of skills.
• Balance skill distribution across freshers, junior, mid‑level and senior engineers to promote cross‑skilling.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify improvement areas.
• Design talent development programs, including training, mentoring and cross‑skill initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR, procurement, facilities and other internal teams to secure resources and ensure smooth project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field.
• 10+ years of technology experience, including project delivery or product development.
• 5+ years managing teams of 50+ people and building cross‑functional groups.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong leadership abilities and deep knowledge of software development lifecycles (agile, waterfall, mixed).
• Experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office 365, JIRA, Confluence and GIT.
• Basic exposure to the payments domain is a plus.
