Application Support Engineer (Python)

About the role

CFI Financial Group is looking for a skilled Application Support Engineer with strong Python expertise to maintain and enhance its backend trading platforms. You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, stability, and rapid issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 support for backend systems, guaranteeing uptime and performance.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technical issues in collaboration with developers and ops.
• Participate in feature development and new product initiatives.
• Design and document technical solutions that meet business requirements.
• Write and present implementations to senior leadership, including the CTO.
• Implement unit and integration tests and ensure code quality through reviews.
• Maintain software standards for security, modifiability, and extensibility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Python for backend troubleshooting and support.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of micro‑services and service‑oriented architecture.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good grasp of web security standards and best practices.
• Technical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
