Artificial Intelligence Engineer (LLM, RAG, Agentic Workflows)

About the role

Loop is a software and AI development firm serving government and enterprise clients across the Gulf region, combining technical consulting, software engineering and applied AI. It is looking for a mid-level (3-5 years) or senior (5+ years) AI engineer to build production AI solutions focused on LLM applications, agentic workflows, RAG, document processing and applied machine learning, working with the Engineering Lead, backend and DevOps engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Build AI applications and agentic workflows using Python, LangGraph and relevant tools.
• Develop RAG and document-processing pipelines using embeddings and vector databases.
• Select and evaluate models and prompts, improving quality, performance and cost.
• Package AI applications as services and APIs and integrate them with backend systems.
• Build evaluations, investigate failures and work with DevOps on deployment and production.

Required profile

• Strong Python skills and experience building AI applications beyond notebooks and prototypes.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt design, tool calling and LangGraph or a comparable framework.
• Solid machine-learning and model-evaluation fundamentals, with familiarity with Azure AI Foundry.
• Software engineering skills including API development, packaging, testing, Git and Docker.
• For senior candidates: experience designing production AI architectures, defining evaluation standards and safeguards, optimizing model selection, retrieval and inference performance, and reviewing designs and code.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases and retrieval techniques.
• Debugging skills and an understanding of secure data handling and reliable AI outputs.
