Assistant Director of Style

About the role

The Assistant Director of Style will oversee daily shift operations for Housekeeping, the Recreation/Health Club and, where applicable, Laundry at a hotel in Amman. This full‑time position ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee zones are clean, well‑maintained, and meet the property’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Verify guest‑room status and communicate updates to the Front Desk promptly.
• Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms and public spaces, assigning cleaning tasks based on occupancy and checkout schedules.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring adequate stock for all housekeeping activities.
• Supervise and enforce housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures during each shift.
• Manage the department’s budget, monitor financial performance, and strive to meet or exceed targets.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for new room attendants and conduct follow‑up coaching.
• Schedule staff according to business demand, track attendance, and ensure fair application of policies.
• Recognize employee performance and participate in ongoing recognition programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field with no experience required.
