Assistant Manager / Manager, Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA)

About the role

Deloitte is hiring an Assistant Manager or Manager for its Audit and Assurance - Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) practice in Amman. The role involves taking part in client proposals and overseeing day-to-day operations of engagements, working closely with the team on accounting, reporting and operational issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, timely client service, deliver high-quality work and build lasting client relationships.
• Research complex accounting matters such as abnormal transactions or acquisitions under IFRS, financial statement and accounting policy reviews, and IFRS impact assessments.
• Work with engagement managers on account strategies, client needs and project planning and execution.
• Assist clients with internal controls, including design, implementation, testing and remediation.
• Use AI in an audit context to improve efficiency and quality, applying professional scepticism to AI-generated outputs and respecting responsible AI expectations.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with client staff and colleagues.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with one of the Big Four.
• Experience on technical accounting advisory engagements and in report writing is desired.
• International accounting qualification desired (CA, ACCA or CPA); CA preferred.
• Fluent English; bilingual Arabic/English candidates preferred.

• Solid knowledge of IFRS and ability to research complex matters critically.
• Leadership, problem-solving and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work independently and in teams.
