Assistant Pastry Chef

About the role

Cream & Crust is a dessert brand based in Khalda, Amman, making cheesecakes, cheesecake jars and other desserts. It is building a small team that values craftsmanship, food safety, teamwork and attention to detail. The Assistant Pastry Chef is a full-time, on-site role in the kitchen in Amman, supporting the pastry team in preparing, baking and finishing desserts according to the recipes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and mix ingredients and operate bakery equipment
• Bake, decorate and portion products
• Help with packaging and labeling
• Keep the work area clean, organized and food-safe
• Carry out inventory checks and basic stock rotation
• Work with the team to meet production schedules and suggest improvements

Required profile

• Experience in pastry or dessert preparation, ideally in a bakery, pastry shop or commercial kitchen
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and keep taste and presentation consistent
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Attention to detail, good time management and ability to work at a steady pace
• Reliable, team-oriented and open to feedback
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and busy seasons when needed
