Associate Manager / Manager, Market Access

About the role

Hikma Pharmaceuticals, a manufacturer of generics, specialty and branded medicines with a presence in MENA, is looking for an Associate Manager/Manager, Market Access in Amman. The role leads pricing analysis, strategy and negotiations for the MENA region, working with health authorities, sales, marketing, operations and health systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and create accurate pricing analysis and decisions for MENA price certificates, and develop pricing strategies, scenarios and registration sequences
• Draft MENA price appeal letters and lead pricing negotiations with MENA health authorities and senior management
• Create and deliver analytics to drive cross-functional discussions and build pricing strategies aligned with business objectives
• Analyse pricing data, create pricing risk analyses at budget and business plan levels, and cover pipeline drugs
• Establish and manage pricing procedures and SOPs, and advise the business development team
• Work with licensors on pricing analysis and decisions, and turn complex data into clear tables, graphs and reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy; MBA preferred
• At least 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including 3 years in a relevant role
• Prior experience with health authorities or regulatory functions
• Knowledge of MENA regulations and guidelines

Required skills

• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and proficiency with PowerPoint and Word
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources
• Knowledge of financial concepts is preferable
