ATC Specialist, Liaison – CIC

About the role

The ATC Specialist, Liaison – CIC is responsible for guiding and assisting the host nation to ensure the safe and orderly flow of air traffic within the designated airspace. You will maintain situational awareness of all air traffic operations at the assigned facility and oversee ATC services throughout your shift.

Key responsibilities

• Apply FAA separation rules to achieve required aircraft separation.
• Coordinate with controllers and personnel to relay safety‑critical and emergency information.
• Operate radar or control tower environments, processing flight plans and supervising approach, departure, and arrival procedures.
• Maintain oversight of vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield when working from a control tower.
• Ensure compliance with ATC manuals, orders, and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC course.
• At least eight years of ATC experience, including one year in a similar facility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Class II Medical Certificate and US CENTCOM Medical Exam.

Required skills

• FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate or equivalent tower rating.
• Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) certificate or equivalent radar rating.
• Knowledge of ATC rules, regulations, and techniques for tower and approach control.
