About the role
The ATC Specialist – Liaison (CIC) is responsible for the safe, efficient flow of air traffic within a designated control airspace. Working in a control tower environment, the specialist ensures compliance with ICAO and FAA 7110.65 guidance while maintaining situational awareness of all operations during their shift.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily air traffic flow, applying FAA separation rules and ICAO standards.
- Coordinate with controllers, pilots, and ground personnel to relay safety‑critical information, including emergencies.
- Process flight plans and supervise approach, departure, and arrival procedures.
- Oversee vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield.
- Maintain CRM principles and ensure adherence to all ATC facility procedures.
Required profile
- Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC training program.
- Minimum eight years of ATC experience, including at least one year in a similar facility.
- Hold an FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate, an FAA/AOV credential with tower rating, or an equivalent qualification.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM medical exam and a US Government Secret security clearance (US citizenship required).

- In‑depth knowledge of ATC rules, regulations, and techniques.
- Proficiency in control tower and approach control operations.
- Experience with flight planning and RADAR/manual approach control procedures.
