Azure Cloud Architect – Onsite in Makati

About the role

The Azure Cloud Architect will lead the design, implementation and optimisation of the company’s Azure environment. Working onsite in Makati, you will ensure the cloud infrastructure is stable, scalable and cost‑effective while collaborating with developers, architects and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Perform system administration tasks including monitoring performance, troubleshooting, managing user accounts and maintaining tracking systems.
• Manage Azure cloud environments and provide recommendations to improve infrastructure.
• Contribute to the development of the long‑term cloud strategy and multi‑year roadmap.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors on cloud, big data and related initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies for cost efficiency and business value.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance assessments regularly.
• Redesign or enhance existing cloud solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
• Lead IT engineering projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget.
• Provide client‑facing technical support and ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST and ISO.
• Manage client interactions, meetings and relationship building.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM‑related field.
• 2–7 years of experience in systems administration or cloud engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
• Ability to translate architectural requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience deploying scalable, highly available, fault‑tolerant systems.
• Experience estimating cloud usage costs and implementing cost‑optimization strategies.
• Experience migrating on‑premise systems to Azure.
