Bid Engineer (IT) – Remote

About the role

The Bid Engineer will support the preparation, coordination and submission of competitive technical and commercial proposals for IT solutions and services. Working remotely, you will act as a bridge between sales, technical teams, vendors and finance to ensure high‑quality, compliant bids that meet client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse RFPs, RFQs and ITTs to capture technical, commercial and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop solution architectures, bill of quantities and technical inputs.
• Prepare and consolidate bid documents, including technical proposals, compliance matrices and pricing support.
• Support commercial costing activities such as margin calculations, OPEX/CAPEX models and pricing templates.
• Liaise with OEMs and vendors (e.g., Cisco, Dell, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMware) to obtain quotations and certifications.
• Ensure bids adhere to client instructions, submission formats, deadlines and internal approval processes.
• Maintain bid schedules, track actions and follow up with internal stakeholders.
• Assist in risk assessment, assumptions and post‑submission clarifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in bid management, presales or proposal engineering within an IT/ICT environment.
• Familiarity with RFP/RFQ processes in enterprise or government sectors.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
