Business Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Business Development Engineer to join our interior design and fit‑out firm. Leveraging a civil engineering background, you will assess project feasibility, estimate civil scopes, and secure high‑value contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively hunt for new clients and strategic partners such as developers, contractors, facility managers, and end‑users.
• Lead meetings with owners, investors, and developers to present design and fit‑out capabilities.
• Identify, track and respond to relevant tenders, RFPs and pre‑qualifications.
• Prepare competitive commercial quotations and technical proposals in coordination with design and estimating teams.
• Negotiate pricing, contract terms and timelines, and drive deals to signing.
• Advise clients on technically feasible structural changes versus aesthetic options.
• Assess site conditions to uncover hidden civil costs before contract award.
• Coordinate with design and project teams to ensure accurate handover of the civil scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture with strong structural knowledge.
• 3–5 years of proven business development, sales or estimating experience in fit‑out, interior design or general contracting.
• Demonstrated ability to generate leads, negotiate contracts and meet aggressive sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for clients.
