Casual Lifeguard

About the role

Join Marriott International’s pool team in Aqaba as a Casual Lifeguard. You will ensure the safety of guests while creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere at our recreation facility.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor swimmers and intervene with appropriate rescue techniques when needed.
• Observe the pool area for hazardous conditions, unsafe activities, or guests in distress.
• Enforce facility rules and promote a safe environment.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, towels, and surrounding areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Welcome guests, ensure professional appearance, and assist individuals with disabilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior lifeguard experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, or jog for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Physical capability to move on slippery surfaces, ladders, and stairs.

Required skills

• CPR Certification.
• First Aid Certification.
