Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead Agri Sciences’ finance function in Amman, overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to senior management and supports the company’s growth across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory and Cost Accounting.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and ensure timely reporting.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and adjustments.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations, and perform elimination entries for consolidation.
• Consolidate financial results across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, producing group financial statements.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow and financial performance, providing analysis and recommendations to management.
• Support internal and external audits and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Collaborate with the CFO and other departments to drive financial decision‑making.

Required profile

• Full‑time, on‑site role based in Amman.
• Proven experience overseeing comprehensive accounting functions.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ability to ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Ability to work closely with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
